dating safety Β· first check free

Check your date before you go.

You already screenshot the profile for the group chat. This is the part the group chat can't do: one phone number, thirty seconds, and you know whether the name, the age, the photos and the record line up.

What a dating safety check actually tells you

Dating apps verify that the person holding the phone matches their photos. That's it. They don't tell you whether the name is real, whether the age is real, whether the photos are on three other profiles, or whether anyone else has reported the number.

A WarnIQ check starts from the one thing almost every match hands over before a date: a phone number. From that number it pulls public records, checks sex offender registries in all 50 states, runs the photo you give it against the open web, and shows you what other WarnIQ users have reported about the number, reviewed by a person before it posts.

You see what the record says. You decide. They never know you looked.

Why a phone number and not a name

Names are easy to fake and easy to share. "Mike from Hinge" could be anyone. A phone number is tied to a real carrier account and, in most cases, to public records that go back years. That is why the check starts there.

It also means you don't need a last name, a workplace or a car plate. If they texted you, you have enough.

What we don't do

WarnIQ is built for the person doing the checking, not for stalking the person being checked. In dating mode the report keeps home addresses and other location detail out of view. We don't do facial recognition. We don't notify the other person. And we are not a consumer reporting agency: this is for deciding whether to show up to the coffee, not for hiring or housing.

faq

Questions people actually ask.

Yes. Looking up public records about someone you are about to meet alone is normal and legal in the US. WarnIQ shows you what the record says and keeps the other person's private details, like home address, out of the dating report.

No. A WarnIQ check is a lookup of public records and community reports. Nobody is contacted, nothing is posted, and the other person receives no notification.

A US phone number. If they have texted you, you have it. A profile photo is optional and unlocks the photo check.

Your first check is free with no card required. After that, checks are paid with credits. There is no subscription.

WarnIQ is not a consumer reporting agency. Results are for personal safety decisions only and cannot be used for employment, housing, credit or any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Community reports are user-submitted and reviewed for documentation; they are not verified legal findings.
